  2. You were created for amazing things.

    Yes. Yes you are.
HE made you in just the perfect way.

Each person has a specific plan for them. Before God made you, He invisioned a plan for you and your life. It is absolutely amazing and beautiful and glorious.

Just like you. And your Creator. And your friends and enemies. And everyone on this planet. Don’t ever forget that each person is beautiful. The fact that God made you in His own likeness automatically makes everyone beautiful.

I think that that is something that is often overlooked. Society today can do a pretty great job in making someone feel worthless. We put so much into having the perfect outward appearance that we often forget we are already beautiful.

There is a reason for each person’s life on Earth. God has a plan for you to do amazing things.

I’m not just talking about those kids that have that perfect GPA. Or those really gifted athletes. Or those brilliant artists. I’m talking about everyone.

You have a purpose for your time here on Earth.
God put His trust in you to figure out that purpose and serve Him.
When we recognize God for giving us such a wonderful life and pray for help and guidance.

That’s when amazing things happen. Prayer is so powerful. Pray to God. Figure out your purpose. As soon as you do that, you are capable of doing absolutely amazing things.

So don’t wait, pray. Listen. Talk. Love. God is always open to you. Give your life up to Him and you won’t be disappointed. I promise.

Remember that He adores you. He is your Heavenly Father. Aim to please Him.
Have a wonderful beginning to a new week!

  3. Be Thankful.

Thanksgiving was a week ago today.

I feel like most people go around the table on Thanksgiving Day and everyone says whatever they are thankful for that year. Personally, I always enjoy listening to what everyone has to say. The young kids always say the funniest things and the older people seem to have something super insightful to say!

But why do we have just one day set aside to say what we’re thankful for? Shouldn’t it be everyday?

We have so, so, so much to be thankful for! Like, its absolutely mind blowing! Just pause and think about it for a second.

You’re alive. You have a house, food, clothing, and people that love you. You can think, love, imagine, dream, laugh, smile. You have free will and can make decisions. You can live your life however you’d like. You can see, taste, smell, and walk.

These are just a minuscule amount of things to be thankful for each and every day.

Think about all the people to be thankful for in your life.

Your parents. Siblings. Friends. Teammates. Coaches. Youth groups.

But think about all the people who make your life how it is. The people who get little recognition for the things they do. The overlooked people in society that we don’t always realize we should be thankful for.

Teachers. Janitors. Bus drivers. Garbage men. Librarians. Farmers. Grocery baggers. Chefs. That person who compliments you on something. Counselors.

I mean there are sooooooo many more people to be thankful for but those are just some of them. Everyday I try my best to thank God for everyone and everything He has blessed me with. Be thankful for what you have because that is so much more than some people can even imagine! If everyone could pretend each day was Thanksgiving Day (minus the delicious food and huge family gatherings!), just imagine how much better we’d be as a people!

Being aware of our blessings is a wonderful thing! Realizing that you are blessed beyond measure keeps life positive(:  One little thing that goes wrong shouldn’t get you down. Remember how many countless people and things you have been blessed with!

God puts every single detail of our lives in place. He has a complete plan for each of us. That is the biggest gift ever! He cares so much about you that He has your life mapped out. He won’t let you down. Giving God thanks is important! We would be nothing without Him.

Here’s a challenge: Every time you see/hear/think of something/someone you are blessed with, stop and thank God. I bet you’ll start to feel a lot more positive(:

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

HE loves you beyond measure. His love expands over thousands of miles towards everyone. Look to the sky and know that you are loved, <3

  4. “Your Path”

    Imagine a child without guidance

    Lost.

    Envision a fish without water

    Lifeless.

A person in a foreign country

    Confused.

    Someone in a dark forest

    Lacking light.

    A person without faith

    Hopeless.

    Set yourself free

Like a bird from a cage

And choose to follow our Savior

    Down His path

    Of Salvation.

  6. “The Choice”

It held her attention every waking moment of the day. She tried distractions- music, T.V., the news, but nothing worked. The car ride downtown bothered her. A gentle stream of words floated through her mind. These weren’t thought of her own, but that didn’t bother her, for they were comforting.

She turned into the parking lot of her destination. An intriguing group of people were occupying the sidewalk across from the woman’s destination. Expressions of anguish and melancholy were set upon the peoples’ faces in stone. The woman admired the group as if they were a piece of artwork.

Walking into the building made her stomach queasy, and she placed a hand upon the now obvious bump of her abdomen. Urgent words buzzed about in the entire empty realm of her mind. She pushed them away. With her hand trembling like a leaf, she signed the papers.

The next few minutes dragged on like a snail. Her mind was elsewhere. A doctor uttered her name. She rose slowly to her feet with a blank face. After shuffling behind the doctor to a room, she became overwhelmed with horror.

“Who am I to do such a thing? I’d be a total monster” she thought to herself. She couldn’t do it. Absolutely not. The image of the people outside was seared in her memory. Also, the building was about as welcoming as an unlit street. Before the doctor could close the door, she bolted out of the room.

The woman sprinted through the building until she reached the outdoors. It wasn’t until then that she began to cry- tears of sorrow and gratefulness. She crumpled to the ground like a piece of paper. Sobs were emitted from her tiny frame.

After composing herself a bit, she crossed the street to the group of people. They were praying. She knelt down beside them and joined. There was an abundance of things to pray for! Another little, precious life was saved.

Just a prose piece I had to write for English I feel brave enough to share.

HE loves you very much. Remember that every life is precious, <3

  7. "It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; He is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is He who provoked you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is He who urges you to shed the masks of a false life; it is He who reads in your heart your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle. It is Jesus who stirs in you the desire to do something great with your lives, the will to follow an ideal, the refusal to allow yourselves to be ground down by mediocrity, the courage to commit yourselves humbly and patiently to improving yourselves and society, makng the world more human and more fraternal.”
    -Blessed Pope John Paul II"
